Who Is Vector Services?
Vector Services was created to bridge the gap between the need we saw across the “trailer owner” community for annual servicing and inspections, and the monumentally inconvenient service center options where this work has traditionally been done. We’re here to make it easy and convenient for trailer owners who take excellent care of their vehicles, horses, ORVs, Boats and everything else they own, to take equally excellent care of the investment they’ve made in their trailers.
Vector Services Technicians are carefully screened and trained to provide unequaled excellence in everything we do. This means not just immaculate mechanical work, but friendly, patient, informative and transparent interactions with our customers. We proudly put our technicians front and center with our customers, ending the ubiquitous opacity we all experience when dropping our vehicles and trailers at a traditional shop. We’re here to do excellent work and to educate. Never hesitate to ask your tech how or why something is being done – he or she has a wealth of hard-won knowledge and we’re all delighted to share it!
About The Founder
My name is James, and I’m the founder of Vector Services and the company’s Lead Technician. I’m a local small business owner and entrepreneur. Vector Services was born out of an unfulfilled need I saw among my friends in the equestrian, boating, and camping communities.
I noticed that far too many responsible, conscientious people whom I knew personally were neglecting the annual service and general maintenance of their trailers; not because they’re irresponsible or neglectful, but because dealing with service centers, the logistics, and the time involved in getting service done totally sucks. Vector Services is my way of making it incredibly easy for trailer owners to say, “Yes!” to taking care of their investment through regular maintenance and staying safe on the road.
As a technology focused entrepreneur, I’ve spent most of my “white-collar” career in front of a computer. Founding and running Vector Services has allowed me to shift gears and leverage a skillset I’ve honed over the last 20 years. I find it highly gratifying to do mechanically oriented work outdoors, working with my hands, educating fellow trailer and RV owners, all while performing a needed service for members of my local community.
I was fortunate to grow up in a family that was perpetually boating, camping, off-roading, and/or building, so owning, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing trailers and RVs has been a way of life for me for as long as I can remember. At the age of 15, my dad started teaching me how to service and troubleshoot our family’s equipment and I’ve been doing the work on my trailers, and that of many friends, ever since.
I’m a culinarian, aviation enthusiast, golfer, mushroom hunter, and outdoorsman.
